Job Description:

Our clients are looking for a Trading Underwriter to join one of their Commercial Underwriting teams in the South East. They need someone that is a multiclass underwriter (Property & Liability) who can operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow a book of commercial Mid–Market business. Due to client visits, you would need to be willing to travel around the South East.

You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business.

The successful applicant will partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure you provide whole customer solutions.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Previous Property and Liability underwriting experience
• The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
• Work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
• Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
• Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases
