Job Description -

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter to join our client’s Underwriting team. With exciting plans for growth and product development, this is a great time to become part of the team.

This role will be based in our client’s Witham office. After an initial induction period, the role will support hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days expected in the office and the remaining 3 from home.

As an experienced Underwriter, you will carry out a wide range of underwriting activities relating to authorised products. The role will be involved in executing the company strategy and materially contributing to the achievement of our client’s financial plans.

You will be playing a pivotal role in achieving our client’s financial goals while delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will shine as you forge strong relationships with our client’s brokers, ensuring they receive top-notch service and support.

This role sits within the sports division which insures golf clubs and a mix of sports clubs, so it would be great if the person had an interest in this area.

Key Requirements -

• Good understanding of the commercial insurance market
• At least 3 years commercial property and casualty underwriting experience
• Have held underwriting authority for chosen class of business previously
• Experience of working in teams and successful record of delivering results
• Progress towards CII qualification desirable or equivalent experience
