Job Description -
Our clients are seeking a Senior P&C underwriter to join the team to help write New Business but also to look after Existing Business - with the idea that as the book grows the role will be more skewed towards EB.
Our clients are a well run MGA with Accelerant capacity. The underwriting team have full operational control and the ability to provide immediate underwriting decisions. They have an established panel of brokers, a stable but growing book of business and write in the following sectors: Professional Indemnity, Recruitment Agencies, Property Owners, Construction Commercial Combined (to include warehouse, factories), Medical Malpractice, Surety Bonds and Trade Credit Contingency
The team has a real 'family feel' they all work together to give great customer service, getting to know their brokers and offering a quick turnaround in respect to underwriting decisions. Profitable underwriting is key and the team share in bonuses based around company performance.
Key Responsibilities -
- Deliver exceptional service to brokers.
- Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to maximise new business and retention opportunities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of business in line with underwriting guidelines, risk appetite and authority levels
- Assess and evaluate risks to ensure profitability and adhere to all regulatory requirements
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for the other Euna Product suite and introduce the appropriate underwriters to support this
- Identify scheme opportunities that fits with our clients current underwriting appetite
- Pursue market-related learning in underwriting, compliance, procedures, and CPD.
- Meet personal KPIs and contribute to team goals.
