Job Description -

An ideal opportunity for an experienced Property & Casualty underwriter who writes UK domicile risk for small to medium size risks with premiums averaging £10-75k. Backed by A rated Insurance companies that are household names, you will be joining an well known MGA that combines the nimbleness of an MGA environment within the security of established multinational employee-owned company.

This role would suit experienced underwriters who have established Broker relationships in the Southern UK market and want to be part of growing their own book of business and putting together a robust underwriting/development strategy. You will be working with a team based in London. Ideally 2 days in the London office with Broker visits expected in the region you are looking to develop business from.

Key Responsibilities -

Work with peers and line of business leaders to shape and deliver DUAL’s Property and Casualty (Commercial Combined) proposition to market, providing considered ideas to evolve the proposition and profitably develop the account.
Actively contribute towards DUALs visibility in the local market, working closely with Brokers to identify underserved segments where DUAL can shape propositions to gain market share.
Build strong relationships with brokers, negotiating effectively, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Ability to underwrite both New & Renewal business in line with DUALs underwriting strategy, within DUALs underwriting framework.
Support the wider team and business to deliver the best of DUAL to our broker partners and customers.
Work diligently to ensure documentation and underwriting files are thoroughly checked and terms are accurately issued in a timely manner.

Key requirements -

Proven track record of building a portfolio of mid-market property and casualty risks, writing risks £10k+ GWP.
You’ll ideally have 10+ years of Underwriting experience.
Professional underwriting qualifications desirable but not essential.
Attention to detail, and ability to hit deadlines.
